So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life - your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life - and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Adult Ministries

At PFMC, we are seeking to make followers of Jesus who embody our three "E" statements: Enjoying God, Embracing Life Together, Engaging Our World. What does that mean? Take a closer look:

Enjoying God...

The first step in becoming a fully-developed Christian is learning how to enjoy a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. At PFMC, we believe that the ability to enjoy God is directly linked to worshiping God and knowing God. We worship God together every Sunday morning during our worship celebration time, drawing close to Him through music, prayer, teaching, and various other elements of worship. Corporate worship has always played a vital role in the spiritual development of people, and we believe regular participation in worship is a key part of helping people enjoy God. We also believe that if people are going to enjoy God, they must know Him. One of the keys to knowing God and maintaining a close relationship with Him is the development of a healthy devotional life. At PFMC, we seek to encourage and help people develop and maintain a healthy relationship with God through training in Bible study, prayer, and other basic spiritual practices.

Embracing Life Together...

The second step in becoming a fully-developed Christian is to participate in fellowship with other believers. More than 50 times in the New Testament, Christians are instructed to do something either with or for one another. These commands simply cannot be accomplished privately. In order to best experience Christian fellowship, we encourage every person at PFMC to participate in a small fellowship group, which we call Life Groups. In Life Groups, we can grow spiritually together  and practice the “one-anothers” of the New Testament, literally “embracing life together” - offering one another mutual care, support, encouragement, and love as we share our spiritual journeys.

Engaging Our World...

The third step in becoming a fully-developed Christian is to participate in engaging the world through service and witness. Ultimately, the church doesn’t exist for itself. Rather, we exist to serve others and share Christ’s love with everyone who is not yet part of His family. We encourage every person at PFMC to put their time, talents, and treasure to work to serve God’s purposes. Whether you serve in the church or in the community or both, each person who follows Christ is called to serve God by serving others. There are many different ways to serve, but the ultimate aim of all service is to make an impact on the world around us with the love of God. Engaging our world also means that we seek ways to give witness to the transforming power of His love in our community and the wider world, loving God by loving people in real, tangible ways - including those who don’t yet know Him!
