Re-Opening Plan

* The following is contingent on Umatilla County being approved for Phase 2 of the state reopening plan.

As the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic ease, PFMC will reopen effective June 14, 2020 with two Sunday morning worship services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. In Phase 2 of the Oregon Reopening Plan, we are allowed a maximum of 130 people in our Worship Center, so in order to get an idea of how many plan to attend which service, we are asking every household to pre-register your service preference. For those who don’t wish to attend in person, our 11 a.m. service will continue to be offered online via livestreaming.

You can register for your preferred service by returning to the home page & clicking on the appropriate link in the banner, then filling out the simple form provided.

Anyone who cannot register online can call the church office at 541-276-6015 and leave a message with your phone number, name, number of people in your household who will attend, and service preference and we will register for you.

At the reopening launch, there will be no other Sunday activities except for the two worship services. If all goes well, we will add nursery and J.A.M. Church for children during the 11 o’clock service only starting July 12th. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer Sunday School classes or Coffee Bar service during this phase of reopening.

Prodigal Youth Group will begin meeting again on Wednesday nights at 6:30 starting June 24th.

In order to protect the health of our church and community, we will take the following precautions. These represent our best reasonable effort to minimize the risk of contracting and spreading coronavirus, but since they do not eliminate all risk, attendees should be aware of the potential risks of participating in our gatherings…

  • Every attendee will have their temperature taken with a no-touch thermometer as they enter the building.
  • There will be hand-sanitizer stations in the lobby.
  • Instead of passing offering plates, locked offering boxes have been installed next to all of the doors in the Worship             Center along with one near the Information Center.
  • The Worship Center will be arranged to maintain social distancing by roping off every other pew in each section and           reminding attendees to maintain appropriate distance between family groups in the available pews.
  • Face coverings are encouraged but not required.
  • All materials in the pews (hymnals, Bibles, envelopes, etc.) will be removed until all restrictions have been lifted, and         everything but furniture will be removed from the cry room as well.
  • The Worship Center, cry room, lobby and restrooms will be sanitized between services.
  • The most vulnerable to the virus (elderly, health-compromised, etc.) are encouraged (not required) to stay home and            join us via livestream until restrictions are no longer needed.
  • Anyone with symptoms of illness will be asked to stay home, and will be turned away at the door if necessary.
